Hydraulic works in Utako District, Abuja - Nigeria

The Utako District is one of the second phase urban development areas of Abuja,  new Nigerian Capital. The total area to be developed extends over 360 ha, with a total number of served plots of 774. The water distribution network, the foul sewer and the stormwater drainage systems are part of the wider complex of urban works in this area.

Water Distribution Network

The main network, in cast iron, has a diameter of 600 mm and a total length of 6060.5 m.

The secondary network, in cast iron, have diameters of 400/300/200/150 mm and a total length of 29036.74 m.

The plots service connection, in galvanized mild steel, is made by pipes 100 รท 38 mm diameter with a total length of 10204 m.

Foul Sewer System

 The foul sewer system is divided in primary and secondary.

 The main network, in concrete, has diameters of 800/600 mm with a total length of 7147 m.

 The secondary network, in PVC, has diameters of 400/300 mm and a total length of 20326 m.

 The plots service connection, in PVC, is made by pipes of 200 mm diameter with a length of 10123 m.




Stormwater drainage system

The main network, in concrete, has diameters of 1000/750/600/400 mm with a total length of 37592 m.

The pits service connection, in PVC, is made by pipes of diameter 300/150 mm for a total length of 19074 m.

The plots service connection, in PVC, is made by pipes of 150 mm diameter with a length of 4626 m.
