Interventions for the restoration of traffic in federal and minor roads of Sardinia Region damaged by flood events happened in November 2013 – Italy

The scope of works includes the following interventions:

  • Intervention NU01 – No. 15 and 16 (“Rio Grestales” and “Rio Melchiore”): Rehabilitation works on the road from km 3 to km 3+250 and reconstruction of bridges, retaining works upstream and downstream and rehabilitation works on the road from km 6+300 to km 7+600.
  • Intervention NU06 – No. 11: Rehabilitation works along the road SP 73 (“Bitti-Sologo”) at km 1+050.

The “Rio Grestales” flyover, classified as first category bridge, is composed by a single carriageway and it will be made in steel-concrete composite materials and characterized by a simply supported static scheme. The span is 30 m in length. The deck has a total width of 11.50 m with variable slope of the cross section. Part of the bridge is in curve with radius R=45 m from SP1 to ch.0+262.085 and part in clothoid.

The “Rio Melchiore” flyover, classified as first category bridge, is composed by a single carriageway and it will be made in steel-concrete composite materials and characterized by a simply supported static scheme. The span is 30 m in length. The deck has a total width of 10.95 m with constant slope of the cross section (7%). The bridge is totally in curve with radius R= 54 m.

The “Bitti-Sologo” flyover, classified as first category bridge, is composed by a single carriageway and it will be made in steel-concrete composite materials and characterized by a simply supported static scheme. The span is 55 m in length and the deck has a total width of 10.50 m. The cross section is double slope type (2.5% of slope).
